Can someone recolor these dogs purple and gold?

Good friends from Mobile adopted two maltese dogs that were rescued from a puppy mill. They asked that I pick them up from Lafayette and we are going to meet up today to transfer the dogs today. They are Auburn fans and when asked for new names I suggested Boudreaux and Thibodeaux and I was voted down. I told them I was going to dye the dogs purple and gold.

Can anyone make it look realistic?
