Got offered Doug Martin and I give up Alfred Blue.

I know eventually Arian will be back so that's what I'm considering.
My RB situation isn't the best with Lynch, Ellington, Blount and Blue.

Any thoughts? Help?

Blue may not even start this season. At least with Martin you're getting a sure starter. Plus word out of Bucs camp is he looks good.

Forsett, Hill, Bell all benefited last seaaon from playing the NFC South and AFC South

Yeah you should do it. The Texans could roll with Chris Polk or sign Pierre Thomas or Chris Johnson

I doubt this. First of all, Chris Polk was getting mop-up duty in the first preseason game. The Texans were on the goal line and tried every other back (except Polk) to punch it in--ultimately, to no avail.

I thought Johnson was interviewing for Ellington backup duty. And whatever the question is, I doubt Thomas is the answer.

What I saw being auditioned this weekend was a platoon of Blue, Grimes, and Hilliard. Either way, I see Blue losing time early to the other guys and, obviously, losing time later to Foster when he returns. That bodes well for a trade for Martin if you can get it.

The Texans tried trading for Polk last season. I wouldn't put much stock into who's getting goal line TDs just yet. Who's to say Polk couldn't score there?

I'm not saying Polk can't score from the two, I'm saying the guy carrying the ball in the fourth quarter of a preseason game is not likely to be in the lead for the starting job, especially when he didn't get a shot at the goal line and all the other candidates got at least one shot.

I'd keep Blue. Martin's line has been bad for two years now and I don't have a lot of confidence that he's all of a sudden turned back the clock to his rookie year. While Blue had a low per carry average last year they kept giving it to him and his overall numbers weren't bad. And there is no guarantee that Foster is coming back anytime soon, and he's always a risk to miss time with soft tissue injuries.
