even though the best catcher in baseball had a drop off his first full season in the bigs (Mauer)
OK..do you look at stats before you post?
Mauer in 2004 only played in 35 games, so not a full season
2005 (1st full) .294 9HR/55 RBI .783 OPS
2006 (2nd year behind the plate) .347 13 HR/84 RBI .936 OPS
Mauer 2005 131 games @ C/DH
Posey 2009 108 games @ C/1B

Posey spent a third of his 2010 season at first base
Bengie Molina was traded in early July and thats when Posey moved behind the plate. The first month he was great in July he had an OPS over 1. But he spent more time behind the plate and his numbers dropped. His OPS was .754 in August. In September and October it was .818
Did him spending significant time behind the plate have something to do with that? Maybe, maybe not. I personally believe so if you dont want to then thats fine. You look at the stats how you want to.
I havent even mentioned he had an incredibly lucky July where is BABIP was .424

so nothing more about Mauer 2nd year regressing like you said?
Logically and not making up some silly arse excuse of why his stats went up and down.
now it's luck? Last year it made you change your damn team name with his name in it

Im glad you have no response other than trying to mock me.
Mauer did regress his second full season in the majors compared to the pace he was on his first 30+ game when he was first called up.
Believe what you want but stats are stats and you havent posted any to counter mine other than Im just jealous cause you have Posey
If I thought of Posey like a God, which you seem to think I did, why would I trade him?

I proved Mauer improved in his 2nd full season
in 2004 he only played 35 games. You can't call 2005 his 2nd season behind the plate.
there is no proof Posey's stats went down because he was catching more

Never said it was, but im not calling for him to regress... Hell I feel weird comparing him to Mauer... Mauer is an MVP
And IMO .290 25 HR/100 RBI is about what I expect
Again in my spank bank

25/100 is pushing it, just in my opinion
im thinking
.300 20 80
which still for a catcher

Im glad you move to jokes when you lose an argument
I never said he was going to continually regress he just going to regress his first full season behind the plate

Morrow to begin season on DL: The National Post reports that Brandon Morrow will begin the season on the disabled list due to some inflammation in his right forearm. His stint on the disabled list will be backdated and Morrow is only expected to miss one start. “It sucks because I think I can go,” Morrow said after learning that he would be placed on the DL for precautionary reasons. Morrow felt the strain during a recent bullpen session while throwing his changeup and thought little of it, but decided to advise the training staff. An MRI revealed inflammation, which is not considered serious, but general manager Alex Anthopoulos said the Jays want to take a conservative approach to ensure a quick and full recovery.

Brian Wilson's oblique isn't any better. Likely won't be ready to go opening day.
