CRoACKIN HEADS
Hitting
This lineup, while talented, is full of players that I think regress this year. Johnson, Huff, and Beltre, specifically. Teixeira will get his, as will Braun. It's not an awful lineup, but not incredible either.
Ranking: 8th
Pitching
There's a lot to like about this staff. Ubaldo can be streaky, but is a great source for K's. I love Latos and Buchholz at 2 and 3. B-Mac just gave the seal of approval to Gio Gonzalez, so that has to be worth something. Travis Wood in the 21st round was a great value pick. A weak bullpen is what is dragging this staff down a bit.
Ranking: 5th
Overall
Nice balanced team, which sometimes doesn't always correlate to fantasy success. Might need to make a few adjustments over the course of the season. Do that, and it could be a playoff team.

yeah keep telling yourself that

You read my mind. I went with what filled my biggest needs over potential. And just think, I had Adam Wainwright on my staff as well. Woulda been the greatest staff ever assembled

I'm curious to see if this pitching wins championships theory works

you want to make a bet on that?
If I come in last ill pay your entry fee next year
If I make the playoffs you pay mine
just to make sure Geaux sees

Explain why your outfield is better than mines. I have BLACK Young!

Toula
Offense
Excellent job of including power and speed into the lineup. Crawford is gonna beast in Fenway. I'm not sold on Aramis like you are, but I do think that Granderson has a nice year.
Ranking: 3rd
Pitching
A story of love and hate. I love Gallardo, Oswalt, and Sanchez together. Good combo to cover the four categories. I hate Webb, Pineda, and Lackey. Bedard is a wild card, and perhaps was drafted too high at 20. Maybe not. Average closers.
Ranking: 7th
Overall
One of the favorites, in my opinion. This team will probably need to be a little active on the FA market in terms of starting pitching. Those three guys can't carry the load. Playoff team, unless injuries mount.

I put alot of stock in top tier pitching. They can eat up 25 Innings quick and lock down 3 categories. That allows me to take quality closers instead of quanity

the same chris young who couldnt get his OPS over .8
Ethier was hot for the first half of last season, and blew the second half
Heyward is a beast but not nearly as good as Cruz

We'll see, it was a worth a shot with my keepers. Plus, I'm banking on some people dropping people they shouldn't and I'll be there to scoop them up

Hot Stove
Offense
It's Tulo, Holliday, and a bunch of question marks. The whole Utley injury is interesting, and it could determine how well this offense does. Bottom line though, I think this team lacks pop.
Ranking: 9th
Pitching
Most will disagree, but I love the makeup of this staff. Lester, Price, and Verlander are studs, and I actually think Garza as a 4 isn't bad at all. Jurrjens is a wild card. Elite closer options help make this staff one of the league's best.
Ranking: 2nd
Overall
My main concern with this team is the offense, and whether or not it can answer the questions that surround it. This team will probably need to add another starting pitcher along the road at some point, but it's talented as hell. A few tweaks here and there could make this team a championship contender
