Swamps, could you start a new thread and list those that are confirmed to return? And we could keep track of those interested in filling the vacant spots there as well.

or we staying on yahoo?

I prefer ESPN, but I guess that would depend on what everyone else wants to do.

I hate Yahoo...
NFL.com or ESPN for me
NFL.com or ESPN for me

Doesn't matter to me. I'm already on 3 different sites for fantasy, why not a 4th.
Eta: would it cause any issues with transferring the keepers over?

I was able to do it for baseball with 8 keepers and it wasn't much trouble at all. 2-3 keepers for football should be a breeze to move over.

I'll start a thread but let's establish the keeper rules first.
So up to 2 keepers which will take up your first 2 rounds?
Up to 3 keepers which take up your first 3 rounds?
Or do yall want penalty from round drafted with ability to keep up to 2 or 3?
Also I think it's fair if the 3 new teams have a mini draft with the players from Dan, TH, and Whities teams rather than just assigning them a team. Everyone agree?

I like both of these ideas

I also think there needs to be a penalty from finishing last or an NBA style lottery for non playoff teams so it doesn't guarantee the last place team getting the first pick next year. We need to try to eliminate teams giving up when they are out of playoff contention.
And speaking of, does everyone agree to move to 6 playoff teams?

Lottery is cool with me. You could also make it where 9th gets the first pick so that the last place teams have something to play for. Draft order could be 9, 10, 11, 12, 8, 7, 6,...etc.

I think I would rather the round drafted penalty as well.
Only issue would be handling players who were keepers last year. To be fair since we would be changing this in between seasons I think we could pretend they were 4th round picks last year and if we wanted to do something like each year you lose the pick 2 rounds ahead that means any player that was a keepr last year would cost a 2nd rd pick this year.
Any player not kept last year can be used at the round they were drafted. So for example if a player was drafted in the 10th last year, you would forfeit an 8th this year and so on.
Not sure if that's the way yall want to go but I think it would be fun.

I suggest opening this league up to more than just ATL Thread people.

I'll ask LSUfreak. He's at least active as shite.

Can I only have 1 keeper.... can I join the mini draft?
Posted on 7/21/15 at 11:58 am to tduecen
I think in any scenario teams aren't going to be forced to keep any if they don't want to

What round pick would you lose for a guy you picked up off waivers?
Posted on 7/21/15 at 1:14 pm to RollDatRoll
Waivers is something I'd want to get input from everyone on.
A lot of leagues don't let teams keep players they got off waivers because waivers isn't an equal process for everyone in non auction leagues. I agree with that and think finding a player in the 14th or 15th player in the draft is more valuable than picking someone off waivers in a proces that's not equal to each team. But at the same time that's a big pool of players that won't be eligible to be kept.
So there are 3 options:
1) Not allowed to keep a player that was not drafted previous year.
2) you only lose your last round pick
3) treat them as a higher pick in the draft and you lose like a 9th rounder

Just my 2 cents here but I like option 3. You should have the option to keep them but lose a mid-late round pick.
There are 15 rounds so I'd be good with anything between an 8th and a 10th round pick. If you kept two guys that you grabbed off waivers, you could lose the next rd pick as well.

I think for waivers if you wanted to allow them, the team would lose the round the player if projected for....
So if a team got OBJ on waivers and he is projected as a 3rd round pick they lose a 3rd round pick.
