He's freaking 20. I had him lumped into the Wiggins group as just a blanket scorer that'll never be elite. A slight bump in assists and efficiency move him from top 50 to top 25.

In other news, Big Turk is out tonight. Time for Collins to size the starting job.

You'd think BJL would be holding multiple TDBBL trophies and not us, amirite?!

i was poised for number two last year if we hadn't "rebooted" the league. best keeper set including giannis and westbrook and CP3 and 9 picks within the first three rounds.

would've walked it start to finish all the way through the way i did three years ago.

i know right? he was i think the youngest in his draft class. it's crazy, he's still growing and getting stronger. he's a dog. i think one of the best fifteen young keepers.

that said, i really do think dlo is right behind him. he's just so slick and efficient. lakers gave him a bad rap.

and if that's his upside, and he's a terrible ft shooting, 3 point shooting i just don't see taking him in the first.

The deficiencies that you are using to build your argument against Simmons becoming an elite fantasy player are the exact deficiencies that Giannis overcame. 3 years ago when you were the only person in the world that thought Giannis would be great, he shot 70% from the line and 16% from 3. Hell, he still can't shoot 3's and is below average at the line, but that hasn't prevented him from becoming elite.

I don't have any problem with Simmons being taken over Porzingas in a dynasty draft. I would argue that he has more upside than Porzingas especially when you factor in that this is a H2H league and you can easily eliminate his FT% hit by punting that CAT.

i love him as a player skill set wise, but don't like his personality. i think he rubs his teammates wrong. he's a little selfish and i think it shows in his game. so he's going to take it to the rack a little more aggressively, and doesn't quite make the passes that would increase his efficiency. and he's a good not great shooter.

so you'll see good to great points for a PG, but poor fg pctg, but not as many 3s and assists as what you'd want from the elite. i think he tops out like top 25 ish?

no they're not. fantasy is more than just offense. giannis is elite because he blocks the shite out of shots and gets his hands in the passing lanes. and that was before he grew into his body. he came into the league as a stork.

he is an ELITE defender and always had that motor, flying around the court. he is 7'0 tall and also has a 7'4 wingspan. that's the measurables of a shotblocker.

simmons is 6'10 and has a 6'11 wingspan. his body is filled out already. jordan clarkson has a bigger wingspan than him. his upside as a shotblocker is limited. based on his lsu times, simmons also wasn't that motivated a defender. i will say that he's seemed more locked-in than at LSU.

porzingis is 7'2 with a 7'6 wingspan FYI. it makes sense that he's able to get his hands on shots.

we can just disagree. Porzingis has more upside than anyone in the league that's not named KAT or Giannis. i don't know how you stop a 7'2 guy from shooting 3s. i think the simple answer is you can't.

wait, so an elite player can involve punting a category? i guess DJ and Drummond and Howard are still elite.

yeah. him too. if he stays healthy.

:makes sign of the cross:

if embiid stays healthy, he's the best player in the league within two years.
