4) positional/categorical rarity or elite
Based on this you had Devin Booker at a 1st Rd grade?

D-Lo and Oubre don't belong in the same sentence as KAT or Porzingas.
it's all for different levels and points in the draft. to draft a player like simmons at the 12 spot, where his upside portends that he won't be top 50 this year. and might not year two either.
there, porzingis sat two spots later, who has been top 25 each year, and is now being given top gun role.
i don't pretend that DLo has the upside of KAT. but DLO is 22, playing for the fastest playing team in the league. to me his upside is something of Lillard. He in the next few years could be a top 15 fantasy player. explain to me why the number 2 pick in the draft three years who is already putting up numbers couldn't be that?
And Oubre is definitely not nearly there this year. but what keeps Oubre from rising to Otto Porter levels by the end of the year. Did you not see the jump that Porter made from year 2 to year 3? that's a scott brooks thing. he'll be top 50 this year.
i stand by my point in how you rank players in dynasty or keeper leagues.
and you fricks might not be able to give me credit for drafting giannis number two.
but i was keeping that dude like three years ago over more accomplished players. it's almost like i saw it coming or something.
so my point is the simmons pick was a reach. terrible first round pick. he doesn't fulfill the attributes of what makes a great dynasty player. other young players are better than him now and have as much potential for the future.

honestly, i almost took booker second round. i didn't trust phoenix's coaching/backcourt logjam.
but i think devin booker is a stud and a half. i took mccollum instead for the percentages and to hedge my dlo bet.
if he contributed in assists and was in a system that wouldn't allow him to shoot a poor FG percentage i would've pulled the trigger.

Krama, when all these dudes gonna realize we're all playing checkers and you're playing 4 dimensional intergalactic Chess?

You'd think BJL would be holding multiple TDBBL trophies and not us, amirite?!

If you don't know how great Krama is, he'll be here shortly to inform you.

it's not that at all? i'm just talking about why something is good or bad. it's just a rule structure.
other people have different value systems. you value outliers that dominate a category more than most. toula like stat stuffers who build across the board.
this is a weird league. people get all strange and personally attacky just for me commenting on players or think that i'm doing some ulterior motive. OF COURSE the players i pick adhere to the value system i outlined. THAT'S WHY I PICKED THEM.
are we not here to talk about basketball?

You wanted me to trade you Melo for him. I finished 2nd that year and was trying to win it all, or I would have. You def were on him early though.

well you know that's interesting. because when you do that, i find my interest in posting to be much much less.
so then what you're doing is taking someone who is genuinely excited to participate in a discussion. who is actively wanting to engage the league and talk about players and fantasy and all that. and making them not want to do it.
because trolling, kind of makes it not fun. kind of like what you accuse knat of doing the exact same thing.

that was just a bad bad break for you. pun intended.
i didn't take hayward because i don't trust kyrie not to take a billion shots like he's fittin' to do.
i have a feeling toula was targeting hayward though. he's a super toula player.

gonna be fun to find out. he seems to have found a place in scott brooks' notoriously short rotation.
what i like about him: he's 22. starting to shoot 3's. 7'0 wingspan, good rebounder. he'll be one of those few people to avg a steal, a block and a 3 per game. that gives him a shot at top 50 from what i've seen in the past.

you could you know, talk about the players or the arguments. about what you think and why instead of shitting on people.
you know, like actually participate.

Nah. He wasn't a target. I was set on whatever SG fell b/t Beal, Booker, CJM, Klay.
Booker was top target b/c I was banking on his assists to get over 5pg. Early results are promising and should get more usage with Bledsoe gone.

I thought it was clear, but I barely follow sports these days.

EXACTLY. i like booker man. i saw him pick a fight with someone the other day. he looks like he would be a finesse player, but he's actually pretty aggro. he talks shite and mixes it up.
i think if i wasn't trying to compensate for giannis' FTs with CJ i would've taken him. i also like beal, but i just don't trust him not to get dinged.
