I already responded and told him he's not accounting for the fact that most players play the same day and that on those days we can only start 10.

Everyone else feel free to chime in, and keep in mind that this has been put to a vote.

*also I don't care either way, but several people asked about it so I put it to a vote.

I just like the idea of having to strategize to bench starts rather than just play everyone.

that was kind of what led me to this thing. we set the limit at 45. some people drafted for depth. some people drafted for the future. some people took young guys who will play more in the next years than this year.

to move the games limit now when there are plenty of players available to have to get to the limit seems shitty to me.

players who play on the same team (and thus on the same day)? that's part of it.
your bench is filled with scrubs or longterm plays? that's part of it.

we keep changing the bar in all these leagues just to fit whatever serves our purpose.

we said it was 45 pre-draft. so i think it should stay there til next season.

I glanced at week 3 too. 45 game limit would be easy to hit. Change of schedule is what is scaring most i think. Its A little overblown based on what im seeing.

Week 1 this year has two more games than last year's week 1. Week 2 is identical. Week 3 is 4 less.

Then you see the schedule difference.

Week 4: -16
Week 5: -10
Week 7: -16

8 of the 24 weeks (33%) have 8 or more games less than last years week.

there's nobody who drafted based on a 5 game a week difference. we put it to a vote and the league will decide.

This is where I go back to my idea on flexing the GP limit based on the number of NBA games for that week

Max starts for me for those weeks.

Week 4 - 43 max starts
Week 5 - 50 max starts
Week 7 - 56 max starts

This also took into account for Brandon Knight being out for the season and days that have more than 10 games.

Yea, if you count 100% of your roster as eligible to hit games. It's a dynasty league, should be able to hold a minimum 3 non-productive guys without sacrificing any competitive advantage.

Most dynasty leagues in any sport probably have over 10% of the rosters dedicated to prospects.

That's the only negative to the TDBA league, you cannot compete and win while holding rookies, projects, and/or injured guys. You have to have every roster spot as a productive player to hit 45 GPs

I can start 51 in week 4 but I have to start scrubs like Muscala, Diallo, and Carmelo.

I would think other sports have much more prospects than Bball though.

I think this would cause more trading, which would make the league more fun IMO(Of course ). Rather than guys just be able to sit on the injured folks and prospects. No incentive to trade.

It is and has always been 3/4 of the vote, not the entire league. Whoever votes.
