we need to step this up.
we either start the draft with the agreeance on all members that we're drafting, or we don't.

Sport? Because this isnt normal. Its pretty absurd this is being pushed and I doubt this league lasts. An actual discussion regarding a draft date would be nice, try to cater to all members if possible. Not a few individuals that arent even a commish coming in here and crying everyday.

Ahh ok. Again this is my 1st dynasty league of any format but it still makes sense to me to wait.
But if everyone else besides me and DJ are raring to go why not put a 24hr clock bw picks or something?

dj, i think we should've waited til exhibition season too. but we didn't. that was by the decision of the league and the commish, who has done a great job commishing up to this point.
you should either draft or abdicate your pick slot. at this point, you're just being obstinate. we're all drafting with the same level of knowledge.

commish, if DJ and honk don't want to draft, i also am okay with canceling the first two picks of the draft, giving them a pass and holding the draft date in the future.
just letting people hold off for as long as they want is actually unfair to the people who picked last week, who made their picks with limited knowledge and actually on the hook for what they chose.
the first two pickers should be able to change their mind in the case someone gets injured or we get some other weird knowledge. some rookies will play more or less based on trades. holding off gives an unfair advantage to the players picking last.
also, we keep coming in here and checking and it's a waste of time. are we supposed to be picking or not?
let's make a decision.

Darrel, this is a dynasty league. It's not a year to year league, its a 365 day a year league. It is rookies only. I haven't pushed this because I agree that the summer league end is an acceptable cut off. None picked, that was his decision and he doesn't get a do-over.
That said, summer league has come to an end and you are on the clock. The majority of the league feels like it is reasonable to continue drafting and I agree. Please make your pick within 24 hours. Understand I'm not trying to flex my commish powers at all, and have no problem with you waiting until this point, but it is time to move forward.

Im just going to leave the league. With this being a dynasty, Im going to have an issue with this every year. Doesnt make sense to argue about this every year. I went online to take a quick look at rosters to see if I could make a trade with someone and we dont even have an active league to see rosters. Doesnt make any sense to start the draft this early. TDBA is one of the most active league on this board, and has been run this way for years
PCT also successfully runs multiple leagues on this board that go smoothly considering the differing opinions, personalities, etc
