Yea that’s the big negative to the top 6 bottom 6. If the 12 seed is playing the 10 seed In week 13, then the 9 seed in week 14 it don’t affect nothing if those guys stop setting the lineup. In the top 6 format it can really mess things up.

Even more important is my trophy case. Iirc I had made the conference semi finals or better in that league the last 4 seasons. was on pace to do it again. Squad was really coming together. Now, nope.

I have to agree. I tried to be charitable in my view of the trade but there’s no way to justify trading Tatum a younger, future star for an older, starting, roll player in Prince. I can’t come up with any scenario to justify what can only be called a horse shite trade.

I’m all for letting trades go through even if uneven but this one is so bad that it’s as bad as collusion. I think we, the owners, and the commissioner would be justified in reversing this trade and booting rmcc.

21J left a shitshow roster behind, but rmcc did the unpossible and made it worse.

Is this really a dynasty league? What is the outrage here?

Anyone that knows me, knows that I'm a huge Boston fan so I must have really liked this deal.

1. Tatum is a better player than Prince but there are too many scorers on the Celtics so he will be lucky to average over 20 ppg.

2. Prince has nearly as much upside Tatum AND he'll get more opportunities. I tried a bunch of different trades to get Prince before the season started because I'm high on him.

Prince had a great second half of the year last year:

However, Prince did put together an incredibly productive run at the end of the 2017-2018 campaign and, as a result of that and his overall profile, the former Baylor standout made an appearance on an intriguing list. James Herbert of CBS Sports highlighted 10 players for an “all-breakout” team across the league and Prince made the cut.

Looking at the rankings, Tatum is around 55 and Prince is around 70 so there's not a huge cavern of missing talent here. Its not a stretch to say that Prince is a poor mans Tatum at the moment, but he has less competition for shots going forward AND the Celtics will continue to draft good, acquire talent, and Hayward will continue to heal and get more shots.

My main concern was the ~3 year age difference and Tatums ability to play PF.

s for Robinson and Adebayo. It's a coin flip. I am high on Robinson and not on Adebayo. Adebayo has a 17.9 PER and Robinson has a 17.1 Robinson is a better shot blocker and is one year younger.

Again, what's the specific issue here?

I don't give a shite what my team looks like this year even two years from now. I'm making moves that may or may not work out. I think they will.' We will see.

BTW, Justis Winslow still sucks and I'm happy I previously dropped him. He would do me no good THIS YEAR or in a few years when I'm competing.

If I were competing to win this year or next, my strategy would be much different. It doesnt matter if I finish 8th or 16th. I needed to make a huge change if I wanted to compete in the next 3-4 years.

Tbt the tdfl issue is worse than what happened here imo.. Every year it seems there are lopsided trades in a dynasty that plays a big role in who ends up winning it. It comes with the territory.

I apologize for the TDFL lineup. I actually set it and must not have hit save or something. When I got in at 2 pm and started watching I noticed I screwed up.

That was bad on my part. Sorry. You will be hard pressed to find anyone I've played I play with regularly here who says I have an issue setting lineups.

Again, my bad.

EDIT: As I said from the start, PCT will win this league, or at least the regular season.

I think what sets this trade apart is what he gave up to get Tatum, and then a month later, gets fleeced in a trade giving Tatum away.

Wiseguy has a better team. Tom and Frat could be better too depending on the week. I am no guarantee to place top 3 yet.

In a dynasty league tatum’s value is light years better than princes. That Boston team is going to get broken up via trade or FA over the next couple of years and Tatum is going to be the focal point of that team or wherever he goes. Citing current year rankings is meaningless.

This is a dynasty league and you traded away a top level dynasty player for a rebuilding team and didn't get nearly enough in return. Prince isn't a rebuild guy.

The Celtics will make moves to get Tatum more involved by next season.

Who could I have replaced Jamal Charles with to increase my chance of winning?

You may be right. But that's not the issue. The issue is if I colluded or am incompetent.

Show me facts that show either of those are true.
