I don’t get this supposed Kawhi/Derozan trade for Toronto. They’re not going to win a championship next season with Kawhi and there’s zero chance he signs on long term. Maybe this is how they blow it up and start over?

Probably. They may be able to deal him to LA at the deadline, although the lakers would be dumb to give up much if they can sign him.
Might as well take a chance. They had they top seed in the east last year and just upgraded. Lebron isn't in the east, so who knows what could happen.
