I was awarded the 2nd seed in the playoffs. However, I am seeded above a team that beat me (3rd seed) and a team that beat me twice (4th seed). Playoff seeding tiebreaker is set to Head to Head. I have the highest point total in the league, fyi.
Anyone ever get seeded above a team that beat you in H2H format and understand the reasoning?

My best guess is records vs common opponents neutralizing the one on one matchup results and the system deferring to point total. Thoughts?

ESPN league, btw

My complete guess would be that there was some sort of round robin between the three teams that caused the site to goto the 2nd tiebreaker.

Sorry, yes. We (2nd, 3rd, 4th seeds) all have the same record.

Head to head tiebreakers need the same amount of games between tied teams to activate. Looks like not all three of the teams played each other the same amount, so it will move to the next tiebreaker- total points scored.

is It a league with 2 divisions? If the 3 of you are tied Head to head comes after Divisional record?

Team A 7-6 with a 6-3 div rec
Team B 7-6 with a 4-5 div rec
Team C 7-6 with a 5-4 div rec

Team A goes first then head to head for team B and C, I think

I got one for you. We have a 6-7 team in the playoffs over four 7-6 teams
