How crazy am I to offer that trade? I really wanted a Saint I could trust.

Other WR's are Jarvis Landry, Emmanuel Sanders, John Brown, and Josh Doctson.

Crazy?

You're an idiot if you're giving up green for Thomas

After an hour I rescinded the offer. Hope that's not bad protocol. Been in the league for almost a decade, but that was my first real trade offer. The other was to get rid of Kaepernick.

Truth. Well, I did win once. We've had 7 different champions, so we must only be 7 years old.

But you're correct, I play with my heart a bit too much to really win.

My first year playing I said I'd never draft a falcons player

Yeah, that's horrible. As a saints fan I'm as excited about thomas as the next guy, but you can't think with your fanhood if you're in it to win it in fantasy. Green is an established upper tier wr in the prime of his career. Thomas is an unproven rookie in a system that has been known for spreading the ball around in the past. It doesn't get much crappier than that.

A dissenting opinion?! I think I'm too scared - too risky. So much preseason hype everywhere. Each season at the end I ask myself what hype was legitimate? Who saw Odell coming? It's tough to tell. I just lost Megatron; I'd be in much better shape if I hadn't.

I do this with my yearlong league, but I play with my head more in daily fantasy.

Everything is probabilistic. Nobody could have seen something like Odell coming. People who say they can are full of shite. A lot of fantasy is luck. For Odell (rookie year) you just had to recognize upside and be the one who gambled on him. There have been other similar upside/risk moves that didn't work out. Fantasy is about finding the right balance of upside and risk. With that skill alone you should be able to be one of the top-ish teams in the league at least, and with luck you can win it.

For example in this situation, maybe in an absolute best case, most aggressive scenario thomas and green have similar upside. I'm not sure I buy that, but I guess it's at least possible. Green still has a significantly higher floor. Even if Green ends up tearing an ACL next week, at this moment he has much more value than thomas.

If you are dead set on Thomas then at least never offer just green for thomas straight up. Get thomas and something else back that helps another area of weakness on your team, but I would have to actually see your roster to see how much something like that would even help.

Michael Thomas will be a great player and all, but it is a very dumb trade. AJ Green will be a top 5 player in the league this year IMO.
