12 team PPR. We start 2RB, 2WR, FL.

Keep Zeke in the 2nd or Michael Thomas in the 7th?

I’m probably taking Gurley 1st overall.
Obviously the best value is Thomas, but the thought of having Gurley and Zeke on the same team is pretty nasty.

WWYD?

Depends a lot on who else is kept so what type of talent you can expect in the back of the 2nd/top of the 3rdBut with the info you gave, I'd keep Thomas. Too good a value to pass up.

Although the Gurley/Zeke combo would be sick.

The guy who has the opportunity to keep Gurley 10th overall, also has the opportunity to keep Kareem Hunt in the 7th.

Also.
If I keep Zeke, my options in the 3rd for #1 WR are the likes of Fitzgerald, Jarvis, and Cooper

If I keep Thomas, RBs available at the turn are Mixon, Howard, etc.

I don't disagree that Gurley is way better than Hunt, but I think the value of Hunt in the 7th round is much more valuable than Gurley in rd 1.

But, If he keeps Gurley Leveon and D. Johnson would be an option at first pick.

So my debacle is, say I draft one of the top 4 RBs available, do I keep Zeke in Rd. 2, or Michael Thomas in Round 7?

This is a tough one. Personally, I'd keep Elliot, draft Bell or Gurley, then draft 3-5 WR in a row or Gronk.

Keep Thomas. He drop off from Zeke to Thomas is well worth the difference in a 2nd/7th rounder

That's my gut feeling.

Receiver is just so deep this year.

Every Mock I've done, has graded higher with the Top RB + Elliot scenario...

So torn!

I'm assuming it's snake, so Zeke would be your 24th and MT would be 1st pick of 7th? Might be helpful to assign likely names to those draft slots:

Scenario 1:
Gurley with #1 overall
Zeke kept in 2nd
#61 pick would be someone like Duke Johnson, Crowell, Corey Davis etc... or maybe one of the middle grade TEs

Scenario 2:
Gurley with #1
Jerick Mckinnon, Mixon, Fitzgerald, Theilen etc. at #24
MT kept at #61

It's a close call. Scenario 1 is more top-heavy, but you are ELITE at the top. Scenario 2 is much more balanced and deep. Obviously both of these depend heavily on other keepers.. who is available at #24 could shift a lot.

But like you said, WRs are pretty deep. Having Zeke/Gurley would be such an advantage over everyone else and there's tons of good PPR WR prospects falling to middle rounds. Just load up your roster with the Emmanuel Sanders, Crowders, Garcons, etc. You'll get enough production with them to pair with your RBs. I think there's a lot of undervalued guys that have a legit shot at finishing as a WR1
