We finished our draft and put in our teams. Hunter is projected to score 380 points at DB. Our league does do points per 5 yards instead of per 10 on offense but the second highest DB is projected to score... 140.

I think we are making a house rule where as long as he is starting at WR he has to be played there, but I don't understand why these are the default settings. He isn't even starting at DB to start the year most likely.

It's weird that he isn't treated like Ohtani in fantasy baseball or like Taysom Hill when he started QB and couldn't be put at TE

yeah but this league has been going for 16 years and it has all our history saved as far as standings each season and rosters.

just saw this. how many leagues are gonna have this headache?

Morning, fellow degenerates.

My big money league drafted over the weekend and several managers are up in arms over how to handle Travis Hunter this season.

League details: 14 team, full ppr, 1 keeper/yr, IDP, $200 buy-in.

Issue: I drafted Hunter in the 4th round and currently have him slotted as my starting DB. The way our draft is structured, we do a 13 round draft for offensive players, and then 6 rounds for defensive players only (to keep the player pools separated).

Managers are complaining that I drafted Hunter in the offensive portion of the draft, so therefore I should only be able to play him as a WR and receive bonus points for his defensive stats, not the other way around.

My argument is that this was not set in stone before the draft and I spent a (relatively) high draft pick on him specifically for this cheat code ability.

Am I in the wrong here or should I be able to keep him as is and we vote on how to handle it next year? Or, since no games have been played, should we vote on it this year?

Appreciate any feedback!

I blame shitty commissioners, they should’ve seen this coming and made a ruling before the draft.
