what's worse getting 5.2'd when your pitcher is dealing...or having a guy that dealt go out in the 8th and blow the QS?

At least Verlander didn't lose the QS... for your sake.

Obviously in this league the 5.2 is worse, because IP.

Yeah, I was just taking a jab at the IP stat.

Obviously in the absence of a QS, I'd take the better ratios.

Sorry arse Goeddel. I only picked him up for a spot start because there's not much at 3B and he was one of my first offseason moves. He was 7/14 before going hitless last night and now that I don't need him, he goes 3/4 with a bench bomb for me.

That's about right.

Sorry about your QS rondo. That blows nuts too

Giraffe fleeced me last year in TDBL. I gave that dude up for James fricking Paxton.

Can I not add Volquez to start tonight now for KC since they had a DH vs Boston? Honestly thought I could so hope we can get an Admin to change that for me. If so slot Volquez in for Kershaw.

It's always been standard that lineups lock five minutes before the team's first game of the day, regardless of how many they are playing. I wouldn't feel right making an exception here unless your opponent agrees to it before the game begins.

Eta: in addition, we've always defaulted to whatever the site goes with if the rule is not strictly written in the constitution.

Yea I know that's how it's set up in my other leagues and I wasn't sure the default for this league. I'm actually fine not starting him so I won't worry about it. That'll hopefully keep some of my stats from maybe inflating. Thanks for your help reddman!

Just realized why they do that. If Volquez started game 1 and got blown up, and you had the option to bench him before game two, that wouldn't exactly be fair. There's no real way to do it properly unless you lock lineups before game 1 starts.

And the whole position player thing. Impossible to police picking and choosing what part of the DH you want to sit/start a guy.

Me last night: "Rajai is your best bet to get you a SB for a spot start. Yeah, but let me find someone with multi-eligibility."

You're welcome

I wouldn't even have picked him up if Adam Duvall hadn't gotten the day off -- I'm sure RDR is pleased reading that

I imagine a 2 HR night with a SB from the guy you plucked off of waivers for a spot start is a good feeling.
