Luis Severino, who has been longtossing, didn’t feel great in recent throwing, per Aaron Boone. So he’s been sent to New York for further evaluation and receive an MRI. The one in spring training showed only rotator cuff inflammation.

This is fine

Gurriel doing work! Just ripped a cut through sanchez’s Glove hand!

ETA: looks ok, but he was on the ground rolling around for a bit. Looked bad.

Question about stats?
Seems none of my stats counted because after games started yesterday I picked up Suzuki and moved Jansen to the minors. I had other guys I could have dropped to the minors like Allen, McKinney but was moving Jansen since I was trying to set everything up for today. Can this be fixed?

Regarding Mike Clevinger, Terry Francona says it’ll be 6-8 weeks “before we’re even looking at him picking up a ball.”

I feel you pain... my other league (which I know no one cares about) I have Severino, Kershaw, Clevinger, Morrow, Hicks, and Gennett all on the DL now.

And that league only has 2 DL spots.

Has his velocity dropped or he just can't locate it?

Sale’s average fastball velocity through two starts this season is at 91.4 mph, down from 95.7 mph last year and 95.0 mph in 2017, per Fangraphs.

This was prior to today's start... but yikes.
