yeah and maybe I don't pick some of those guys up if everyone was perfect. Just something to dream about until real baseball starts.

Get a gift certificate to somewhere online and print it out. Spa, Wine Tasting, or whatever she's into.

Or you could just tell her that being married to you is gift enough and call Rick Mac.

I traded Khris Davis and a 1st round pick for Andre Ethier

Santander profiles as a bat-first left fielder, who could hit for a fairly high average while offering 20-plus homer power. The 23-year-old switch-hitter was able to get his first experience at Double-A last year on a rehab assignment, and was extremely successful in that 15-game sample. According to Baseball America, he draws Victor Martinez comps, and like Martinez, he may end up as a designated hitter at some point if his bat ends up being as good as some think.

Oh?

Plus he HAS to spend the first 6 weeks on the big league club.

Yeah, but he doesn't have to be in the starting lineup.

Yeah, like Gyno said, if you are making moves regularly, like most of us do, you are going to make some bad calls. It happens. I finally gave up on Buxton after two really bad regular seasons minus a great September. Nobody would give me ANYTHING for him. He was terrible. I was trying to bolster my team for a playoff run and then Buxton blew up again after I moved him for essentially Archie Bradley.

2016 was my year for trades that turned my squad around

Got Miggy for CarGo and Shelby Miller
Got Stanton for Chris Carter, Tajuan Walker and Ben Revere
Got Dozier for Colome, Buchter and Lawrie
Got Severino for Eickhoff
Got Archie Bradley for Granderson

Though I got screw dealing Miggy for Thames and then the Brewers getting the two new guys. And I shouldve held Stanton though it ended up working out in the end

You got Stanton and Rendon from Knat for essentially Taijuan Walker, Duda and Eaton

Nope. But the Orioles, I believe, were dead last in LHB at-bats in 2017, and Trumbo is out the first ~three weeks of the year.

I think he’ll carve out some plate appearances. Worth a roster spot to see if he sticks, especially with the VMart bat comparison

Yap I had to use rendon to make up for dealing stanton

I traded Stanton for Gregory Polanco and Giolito. They started bad last year and I panicked

Think I went Giolito --> Eaton ---> Rendon --- > DeGrom

And Polanco (+Haniger) became Nelly Cruz and Wade Davis

Yes, I know.

ETA: Wish they would just put him on the DL already, but no reason to from an MLB standpoint since he's not going on the 60-day and they don't need to clear a 40-man spot.

So without looking it up completely, a 2017 Rondo team could have included Verlander, Carrasco, Nola, Dozier, Miggy ...

C — Sanchez
1B — Miggy
2B — Dozier
3B — Franco
SS — Tulo
OF — Bruce
OF — Carlos Santana (gained eligibility)
OF — filler
UTIL — Logan Morrison

Not a bad squad with the three aces

Is there a reason Jharel Cotton hasn't been placed on the DL by Fantrax approaching two days after he was officially designated?

Someone at Fantrax is asleep at their desk. I'd e-mail them to inquire.

I imagine Fantrax doesn't consider that Cotton could be rostered.

I emailed them this morning.
