I remember in high school during games we'd always yell "Yo bartender, Jobu needs a refill".

Can I DL a player now or do I have to wait until the season starts?

If he's on the DL, you can DL him.

Doesn't look like you have anyone eligible.

Yeah I have two pending. We just have to wait until they are officially placed on the DL.

Are there MLB rules regulating when that designation occurs?

Don't think they have to officially place anyone on the 15-day DL until they trim rosters down to 25.

Sometimes teams will put guys on the 60-day DL ahead of time though to make room on their 40-man roster.

It's Fappy Friday.

Here's my spank bank material:

quote:

Aledmys Diaz went 2-for-2 with an RBI double, another two-bagger and two runs in Wednesday's 9-3 Grapefruit League victory over the Nationals.

Analysis: Diaz boosted his explosive spring stat line to .474/.450/.579 with the effort

quote:

Lewis Brinson went 1-for-3 with a home run in a spring game with the Brewers on Wednesday. Analysis: Brinson has impressed this spring, homering twice in an unofficial game at the beginning of camp and posting an .850 OPS through eight official contests with the big club.

quote:

Jose Peraza is off to a hot start this season. In six games so far this spring, the speedy second baseman is batting .450 with one double, one triple, four RBI, four runs, and three stolen bases. Following the offseason trade which sent Brandon Phillips to Atlanta, Peraza is expected to be Cincinnati's everyday second baseman when the regular season starts. His fast start this spring is encouraging for fantasy owners who spend a mid-round draft pick on him. Currently being drafted around the 10th round, Peraza should contribute in the batting average, stolen bases, and runs scored categories this season.

quote:

Pirates OF Austin Meadows is taking full advantage of the playing time he is receiving while the Pirates starting outfielders are all at the World Baseball Classic. Through 14 spring at bats, Meadows is getting on base at a .444 clip with one homer and five RBI. He has also stolen a base.
