so basically i dealt arguably the best 3B prospect in baseball for a 2nd round pick. i dont see the big deal

They're absolutely going to delay his clock until June 1st. The Royals are a small market team, so they need to do whatever it takes to compete with the big boys. Having said that, Moustakas has the best bat speed in the minors and will be a beast. IMO he's worth the wait.

Obviously I like him to the point where I didn't want to take that chance. Cwill kept Stanton last year and that worked out just fine.

But you just traded basically, your 12th keeper from before and whoever you could have taken with your 2nd round pick for him when you could have used your first round pick on him and kept your 12th keeper and 2nd round pick.
