Why is the MSM still referring to exit polls to outline arguments about Trump?

All day today I've heard pin heads on cable news channels bring up some random exit poll numbers that supposedly show 89% of voting America hates Trump and wants him dead.

When the media was scrambling for answers last night as to why and how they got it so wrong they pawned it off on shitty exit polls and proclaimed they were inaccurate and unreliable...yet they're good enough to cite when trying to beat down on Trump?
