and yet endless numbers of religious people continue to die of cancer every single day. weird.

I know you're not interested in a sermon, but as a Christian, I can't let your words pass without offering my thoughts.

It's not our job to understand it, but sometimes God desires to do more within us than to simply heal our physical bodies. Maybe He uses physical suffering to develop our character and/or to produce spiritual growth in us?

It's also possible that God plans to do something powerful and wonderful for someone by bringing a sick person home to Him? Death is the ultimate healing for the believer. And, we have this wonderful promise to look forward to when we reach our final destination at home with God in heaven.

Bottom line: While cancer SUCKS, faith in Him is the cornerstone of who we are as Christians.

Right. So if trump gets killed then it was obviously god's plan and we should be happy that he is at home in heaven

"Religious" people die every day. Being a Christian doesn't exempt one from death. However our faith gives us the strength to walk thru whatever problems we have to face in this life.

I wouldn't be happy at all.
God's plan ... yeah, it often frustrates me.
But His plans include a future that only He can see.
I'll always doubt my doubts before I doubt my faith.

Good stuff.
I'm glad you asked.

According to the Southern Baptist church I grew up in, Beelzebub will be roasting Trump over a fire pit for all of eternity.

Not stronger than an M-15.

I normally think talk like this is over dramatic but in this case I actually think some of the far left have gone a bit mad. It's a bit scary. You've got left wingers who are against the death penalty for real criminals but are wanting Trump to be assassinated. I didn't fully understand how nuts the far left is at the moment.
