The definition of a Bigot

According to Google, a bigot is "a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions."
Why then, is this overwhelmingly used by the left to describe Trump and most on the right? I suppose it's a genuine lack of knowledge of the word's meaning, but it seems to me, almost everyone venomously and repeatedly using the word "Bigot" fall entirely within its definition.

The left just used words that have bad connotations and throws them around about the right. They don't actually have the cognitive ability to see the irony. They're just simply not intelligent enough, the raw brain power isn't there.

The same can be applied to the definition of a racist. Do these people know the definition of either? Racist - a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another. Those insults were thrown around loosely and it all boils down to parroting what they heard from the liberal media.

If you can't beat your opponents' arguments you have nothing left but to resort to name calling. Bigot, racist, mysogynist, xenophobe, Hitler, etc
