Oregon registers you to vote automatically when you get your drivers license. They send you a card and you have to fill it out and return it in order to not be registered.

Having said that, my wife and I own a house in Florida, and she chose to stay registered there and thus, filled out the card to opt out of registering in Oregon.

I chose to vote in Oregon, so I can try to keep our taxes as low as possible. So I DID NOT fill out the card opting out of voter registration.

A few weeks ago, we got a ballot in the mail. This weekend, I went to fill it out, and noticed it had my wife's name on it, not mine. So, today, I went down to the voting office and tried to pick up a ballot. I was not registered. Curiously, they said I didn't opt out, either. Somehow, I just didn't get registered. Somehow, they just knew that I wanted to MAGA...

It was too late to register, so I filled out a provisional ballot.
