The True Believers are those that are in positions of leadership of the Party. They are not the fringe.
ETA: I can make this simple for you in regards to the fringe. What has the Obama administration or the DNC done in regards to these protests? Have they spoken out about them? Discouraged them? Encouraged their supporters to respect the results of the election?

That's an overgeneralization based on what you see on the Internet. You don't think about the millions and millions and millions and millions on the left that you don't see. Those who are doing nothing about the results of the election and just going about their business.
