Huge win tonight for the ladies, especially with Aifuwa getting in early foul trouble. Sole possession of third in the SEC behind South Carolina and Mississippi State.

Nikki, this is likely her best coaching job so far at LSU given the talent level and actual win/losses so far. The team is actually getting better each week and it seems they are actually more smooth offensively than just going to Mitchell/Pointer every time. Spreading the ball out makes you much more balanced and we are seeing that now.
This team competes their arse off. Congrats to the ladies.
Every game is "winnable" to end the year outside of SC. Arkansas will be a big test on the road but if we win the other games, LSU couldn't ask for a better ending to their SEC season.

We have all complained about her recruiting and I was not too enthusiastic about this crew coming into the season, but this has been a pleasant surprise. A huge win for them.

Trasi being able to stretch the defense and hit perimeter shots is a major difference.
Other bench players are able to give us quality minutes and those kids plays their butts off each possession. Meanwhile, Tennessee players are just walking up the floor after turning it over.

Also impressive we out rebounded them despite Aifuwa being on the bench for an entire half. They had a big size advantage.

Really big win. They are actually playing more complete team ball without Ayana. Pointer is stepping up big for her Auntie. They still have Carolina and Arkansas but other games they should win and be in Top 4 for SEC Tourney. If they’re not ranked this week something is really wrong.

Yep, I posted in the thread about Ayana being out for the year that the team would probably step it up to make up for the loss. And that sometimes it actually makes the team better because EVERYBODY steps up. Trasi stepped up HUGE tonight. If she plays like that the rest of the season, this will be FUN to watch.

Crazy that we're unranked and A&M is 16. Tennessee's fraudulent ranking is understandable since it comes from years of them propping UT up post-Summit. They should barely be a tourney team based on the RPI but were top 25.
