So Miles should have been FIRED after that game. He was NO match for Saban. And COULD NOT get his players ready for the BIGGEST game of their lives.

going undefeated means you are perfect.
Going 10-2 or 11-1 makes you an elite team.

Elite seasons necessitate playing for a national championship. To me that threshold drops though if you're talking about elite stretches/runs/decades.

i.e. You don't have to be in the championship game every single year in a decade to be an elite program over that period.

Total misuse of the word elite.

Do I consider LSU one of the elite teams of modern times, based on the last ten year stretch? Sure.
