Assuming the probables discussed last several days get us to 22-23, how do we look to finish? I'm guessing 1 WR, 1-2 TEs, 1 OL, maybe one more DT & LB. Given we're graduating 6DBs including every starter and NB we could take 1-2 more there. At these positions are there a few names to watch other than Williams at DB or the TE we just offered?...above all else it can't be said enough the job that Kelly, the staff he put together and the blueprint he's used so far has been executed to perfection especially given the circumstances he walked into just 8 months ago. Wherever we finish according to the sites I know we will have a top 3-5 class based on actual talent and meeting the needs of the team in this cycle

That's another thing I wondered, if he would risk maybe taking a few place holders to get to 85 or look at it as a 2 year deal given that we expect the 24 class to be better than the 23 class because of the fact that the staff will have had the time nessacery to really build the relationships needed to put together a top 3 class

And will become a recruiting legend even before his 1st game at LSU.

As of this moment, adding Sampson, K. Jackson, and Rickie Collins puts us at #5 ranking on 247. Add in Heard and Prean, and we are at #2 overall ranking.

August will likely be a busy month for other schools as well, so they will likely add other players and we may not move us as high.

Regardless, BK is doing A+ year one with a completely new staff, not many pre-existing ties to LA and having to combat negative recruiting after two awful seasons.

Good summary, mig.
Pretty sure they all ditched that last one after the first week of July if not before...

Well said….Completely agree with you

BK & staff deserve an A+ so far, and if they can finish off the class with the following HS targets - they deserve an A+++

1. Rickie Collins (QB)
2. Zalance Heard (OT)
3. DJ Chester (IOL)
4. Shelton Sampson (WR)
5. Khai Prean (WR)
6. Kylin Jackson (S)
7. Javien Toviano (CB)
8. Nyckolas Harbor (Edge/TE)

May seem too good to be true, but it’s a very real possibility boys and girls!!

Think they'll end with that A+++, I don't care where the "experts" have us graded if we get that finish, I believe in this staffs ability to find talented guys, and the fact that with that class we would more than meet every single need. On that list all but Toviano and Harbor are pretty much done deals. I think Toviano is now ours to lose. I can see why top DBs should line up to sign with LSU this year, all 5 DB starters will be gone this year so every single spots up for grabs next year. As for Harbor it's a LSU UM battle and LSU is better in every single football and athletic aspect. I think the staff will do the rest and this guy will GREATLY expedite our offenses return to prominence

Harbor is the only one of those that is not better than 50/50. Landing these players would put us over 300 pts on 247 which LSU has never done before to put things in perspective. Regardless of team recruiting rankings, this will be a very strong recruiting class.
