Backstory: I hurt my lower back on Wednesday doing dead lifts. I don't know how, I was doing my second rep and something happened to my back on my lower right side.

I've been in a decent amount of pain and discomfort for the last 6 days which has kept me out of the gym. I've taken aspirin, rubbed on Icy Hot balm and neither did anything.

I mentioned this to my dad, aged 66, and he suggested I try Voltaren Gel. It's a non-prescription arthritis topical treatment.

I put a quarter size dab on my affected area about 6 hours ago and the pain is completely gone. I can't believe it. It is crazy how seemingly effective this stuff is.

Has anyone else ever taken this for pain and had similar results?

I used it once on a hand injury and found it to be useless.

Well you weigh 400 pounds so I'd wager the gel couldn't do it's job.

Fricking rude right? Everyone knows you’re closer to 300. Don’t pay any attention to that guy.
