Pixel 4XL to Moto One 5G?

Looks like Verizon is basically giving these Moto phones away. I have liked Moto models in the past, but the last one I had just wasn't all that great. Is this a terrible move?

I have the moto one 5G ace on TMobile. It's a good phone. I came from a moto z2 force. The Ace was a bit heavy at first but I've gotten used to it. The battery is great and lasts me all day. I don't have any issues with the CPU or amount of ram.
The one thing I'm not a fan is the LCD screen. Coming from the force with the OLED, it sucks not seeing a full black screen.
The other issue I have is the ear speaker doesn't get very loud. I usually switch it to loudspeaker, just so I can hear clearly.
