GE Profile dishwasher making a noise (pump/motor)

Paging Napoleon...
We have a GE Profile (model PDT845SSJ0SS) dishwasher that is about 5 years old. The last couple of times we ran it we noticed it has started making a noticeable brrrrrrrrr sound. At first I thought it was something I had in it that was vibrating, but I ran it empty yesterday and still heard it.
It sounds like it is coming from the bottom, so I am assuming a pump or motor issue.
What am I looking at to fix it? Is it worth the repair, or is it better to replace?
Also, any estimate on how long we have before it craps out completely?

Try taking the filter out and clean it out
There’s a little circle piece on the bottom that has a screen

Not saying that’s the problem but that’s a good start

I cleaned it out yesterday before the empty run test. I may not have gotten it perfectly clean, but I don't think there was anything in there to cause the sound.
