If someone recommended this to Trump and Trump said okay, I don't have a problem with it.
It makes Biden look like the dementia-ridden tin pot dictator that he is. Give liberals a taste of having to show ID and prove to the military that you belong downtown DC because you work there.

Agencies requested support and the support was authorized. While this doesn’t fit with some folks’ wet dream, this is common for NSSEs. This is larger for sure given Trump’s inauguration included about 8,000 troops in support of the DC police dept, Capitol Police, Park Service and Secret Service.
Also, FEMA did not order this nor is FEMA in charge.

For comparison, Operation Phantom Fury in Iraq that seized Fallujah used a force of 11,000. Yes, it’s a very LARGE force in DC right now.

This link says they were authorized by the Army Secretary and under the control of 2-star general of the DC guard. And some will be armed depending on how close to the building they are.
