During one of our vendor conferences about 4 years ago, Jim Hagedorn CEO, former military fighter pilot, told us just after the initial Hawthorne acquisition, that if his strategy of promoting and serving the cannabis marketplace doesn't bring SMG from 6B value to 10B he would step down. Well today its value is 12B. Very brash move for a publicly traded company, great brand and is the leader in the lawn and garden marketplace. I got in shortly after that conference around $84.
