Cost of laminate flooring install

The old lady is about to sell her house and her kitchen desperately needs a new laminate floor. I've got a turnaround at work for the foreseeable future, plus I'd probably do a crappy job anyways. Whats the going rate per square foot for install?

Whatever you do, use a local handyman type guy. They beat Home Depot’s price by more than half.
$2/sq ft is probably a good estimate. My local guy was right around that.
