I was focused on sales roles because of any company structure, who does the lion share of the travel? Salespeople are trying to cultivate relationships while selling and promoting your company. Just wondering if companies are going to jettison their traditional in person sales model and go virtual or once Covid is gone things resume back to where they were without missing a beat.

My company will never jettison the traditional sales model. Our sole customer is schools (HS, community/technical colleges, and universities). The in-person visiting with teachers and administrators is too vital to our success. Our sales cycle (12-18 months minimum) is also too long to do it any other way.

Well, they could start by dropping prices during typical peak travel times. They are sky high around Thanksgiving with less one way flights than usual and plenty of seats are available because a) not many are flying and b) the prices are not reflecting less demand. The prices during other weeks seem just fine.

I suspect this is because they are expecting demand to be last minute. If they fill up now with cheap flights they won't have seats when the demand comes. Everything is last minute right now due to the virus.
