Anyone else holding INO?

It's nearly doubled since Tuesday.
I'm worried this thing is overvalued and all it will take is a poor result from their Phase 1 trial which will be released next month for it to come down dramatically. Another risk is that there seems to be a crowded market racing towards this vaccine. One thing that makes INO stand apart from the crowd is that they also developed a device to administer the vaccine. And also:
I am leaning towards holding until the results from Phase 1 are released. It's a gamble since I'm already up over 110%, but my stake is relatively small. (20 shares)

Inovio Pharmaceuticals (INO) - Get Report jumped more than 17% Thursday. Inovio said that it received $71 million from the U.S. Defense Department to ramp up production of its smart devices that administer its experimental coronavirus vaccine, INO-4800, into the skin.

INO-4800 is the only nucleic-acid based vaccine that is stable at room temperature for more than a year and does not require to be frozen in transport or storage, which are important factors when implementing mass immunizations.

I sold today at 27 after their injunction was denied. The company is in a place right now where they can't mass produce their vaccine. They have no internal manufacturing and are going through suit with their primary producer of DNA plasmids which they require.
So with that hanging over their head it doesn't matter how great their vaccine is, it can't be scaled to the necessary level.
Yet.... it's skyrocketing. Some kids are going to lose their asses on this

I don’t know how much the $700 million will help them, but that seems like a significant amount of money. I saw an article from May that said INO has a couple promising vaccines for HPV and Brain cancer which is very interesting. That obviously would be a long term play. Regardless, that is encouraging news outside of an investment standpoint.
I think I agree with your take on the Covid-19 vaccine though. I will monitor closely. Thanks for the info.

700 million? They received 72 million for manufacture of their vaccine delivery device and that was prior to denial of the injunction. Manufacturing the vaccine is the issue though.

My bad. I couldn’t sleep this morning so I was typing all that out before my coffee.
I set a stop loss at $25 today. It’s been a rollercoaster today.

I got in at $3.25. That said, I sold months ago and I'm sick about it. Every time I see it on my follow list I want to physically throw up.

Right man?
Would be at half a million myself if I held since March. Probably would have killed myself with all the back and forth

Although their Phase 1 tests were positive, they didn’t release the full report. Also questions around their production capabilities and the fact that the FDA said a vaccine was unlikely to be approved in 2020 pushed this one lower. I’m still holding a small position.
