I hate when people who should be pros.....with sponsors and shite beat up on the local guys......happens in fishing around here.....

Dude is a pro, has qualified for pro events.....but still plays the regular Joes....

Downvote away, but he shouldn’t even qualify for such events

There's a local pro/guide around here that fishes and wins almost every charity tournament, many people dont fish because they dont have a chance.

He was on the Korn Ferry tour in 2007. You don't think he would be on tour if he could?

So have a lot of amateurs. What do you have against a good guy and very good golfer still competing to the best of his ability?

Your entire post is drastically uninformed. If he could be a pro, he would actually be a pro making money playing golf.

He isn’t a pro and hasn’t been for years. Furthermore, once you don’t play professionally anymore, the USGA sets a time limit banning you from all events such as these for an extended period. I personally know someone that played on the Webb Tour for years, ended his “pro” career recently and was given a 2 year period before being eligible for these types of events

So because he was good at golf but not good enough for the PGA tour, he shouldn’t be able to play competitively after his requirement ends because other people aren’t as good?

I wish i could pull for nick. I can’t though. I’ve played in golf tournaments with him since i was 10 years old. He’s 20 years old and yet to be in college. He’s not very bright and everyone hates playing with him

This is the LGA State Championship, this isn't the local four ball sandbagging into the third flight

John is a great guy, and I would bet spends a whole lot less time playing golf than most of the guys he plays against, he is a great Dad who spends most of his time taking care of his kids and carting them around.

He just happens to be good at the game of golf, just like his Daddy was that won everything in sight.

Shoutout to Eli Ortego for finishing second. High school player from Le Triomphe. Great kid.
