Started buying Silver- just to have some coins

Probably the wrong time so not seeing it as a true investmemt.

Where is the best spot to buy and get closest to spot.

I don't plan to spend much just thinking every year buying Silver- the gold for shots and giggles

I would try your local coin shop but that will be hit or miss. I am not buying anything right now because of the premiums being charged by the large online dealers. A $10 premium on an American Silver Eagle is crazy.

Check sites online for promotions. Many have deals for first time buyers at spot for 1-10 oz

If you have a jeweler you trust, buy from them. They usually don’t mark if up as much as a coin shop.

Bought some gold mining stock in mid March. It's doing pretty well since people tend to flock to precious metals when there is a lot of instability in the markets and on the streets. Government printing tons of money helps it too. Mining was down due to coronavirus too and mining tends to lag behind the rise in prices for precious metals.
