Thinking about playing Saturday morning. What condition is it in?

Greens are kind of bumpy and a little slower than normal. They are having issues getting the greens back after they punched them about a month ago. Other than that course is in pretty good shape outside their bunkers being inconsistent which is normal.

Played last Saturday.... course is in good shape, but the greens are pretty bumpy. You’d think they’d let you know that since it’s $70 on the weekend. At least a heads up...

Agreed. Probably should knock a few bucks off the green fee.

Played it this past Saturday and can confirm that the greens are still a bit bumpy. Definitely worth playing a twilight round there but I can’t justify paying regular weekend rates until the greens smooth out.

Played yesterday and it’s in great shape. They just rolled the greens so they were quick and I would imagine in a week or two after the rain comes, the whole course will be perfect.

Are there any members of carter on this forum that play often? Midday golfers?

Played Carter Plantation Sunday morning after the Arkansas game. What an outstanding course, layout and staff! Tees, fairways and bunkers could not have been better. Course played firm and fast, even after the rains on Friday night. The greens are pristine - putting smooth & true, but playing soft to the approach - had several shots back up, which is miraculous for me. Just breathe on a putt if you get above the hole, which I found out on #5. Stayed in a Villa, which was superb and caught the Saints game after the round for lunch and drinks in the beautiful restaurant. Don't know how you could find a better place to go play right now with the outstanding course conditions, top flight practice areas and friendly staff. Can't wait to come back again and play this hidden gem.

$70 on the weekend

Not to mention, most people playing the course are coming in from 30 plus minutes of a drive.

I lived in the Villas one summer. Was two months of my life I'd probably go back to in a heartbeat.
