Have 500,000 IHG points where should I go?

I have accumulated a stash of IHG hotel points and am wondering where the best place to use them is? My wife would probably want a beach location if I had to guess. Anyone have an idea on their best properties world wide to use them on?

Their international properties are nice and don't use many rewards points. You can go to Florence Italy in an indigo for 25k per night. I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza on 37th in Manhattan for 40k per night and it's a nice property. LA Intercontinental is nice too.

Just saw the Intercontinental in Bali is 40,000 points. Anyone know anything about Bali and if that would be a fun trip? They also have a property there for $30 a night so that seems a little sketchy to me.

Grand Cayman Kimpton even thought they have a ridiculous $70 a day resort fee that they will not wave.

Is that resort fee not covered if you are using the points?

I remember you started a thread about Provence/Dordogne a while back. Did you ever go? Anything to share? We're headed to both regions for 11 days in October. Think we have Provence figured out, so specifically looking for some off the beaten path spots in Dordogne. What are the best towns/villages? Anything interesting in towns you won't find in any guidebooks?
Sorry for the hijack

Haven't gone yet, it's still at the top of the list. Spouse's present back injury has limited long distance travel. The prehistory/cave art stuff is part of my interest in the Dordogne...the replica cave of Lascaux, Lascaux 2, is north of Sarlat and St. Leon sur Vezere. Dordogne region has really good tourism websites: LINK
If the canoe operators are still open along the Dordogne or Vezere, consider a paddle/float trip with a stop for lunch. Rocamadour is another spot at the top of the "most beautiful towns in France" list (and how very French that such lists are compiled annually).

Just looked at this one and the only rooms they let you redeem points for have “no view”.
