Anybody have any suggestions on the best public courses in Little Rock? Looking for somewhere to play tomorrow while I’m in town. Thanks!

I’ve played Rebsman, Hindman and War Memorial. Enjoyed Rebsman the most but it’s been atleast 5 years since I’ve played it.

Played one called the Country Club of Arkansas years ago. It was enjoyable and a good value. Don’t remember a ton about it, but the first hole was a driveable par 4 that played way down hill. Eagled that bitch.

Well the new idiot mayor decided to close down hindman and war memorial because of the cost to the city.
So you’re only left with the first tee of Little Rock and rebsman as the only Little Rock courses.

I guess OP’s only choice is The Alotian. Give them a call and report back with what they say, lol.

Rebs is usually great. I assume its got some damage but should be worth your time/money. Play from the 2nd to back tee, as its really short from the whites.

rebsman is good for a muni but they were under water completely with the floods. Not sure how they recovered.

Eagle Hill is a good course. It’s ‘semi private’ but easy to get on. They usually post tee times on Golfnow.

Country Club of Arkansas is usually in good shape but fairly easy and straight forward.

Overall, Little Rock sucks for public courses. It’s sad because it’s a beautiful part of the country.

Hot Springs isn’t far and the village has some good courses.

One of the best hidden gems is in El Dorado. Mystic Creek is phenomenal. That would be my choice, if you can get down there. A truly remarkable course.
