For any of you that code as a side gig or hobby, I may have a project that can turn in to some royalty money.

I want to make a very simple version of a CAD app. All the apps in the store are overpowered for what I want, and as a result way over budget... or just suck to begin with.

The problem is that I have a couple hundred iPads that would need access, but for only very limited function. All I need to do is draw simple outlines of house floorplans, run simple calculations, and export to png and dxf. An in-house CAD app would eliminate the licensing cost of the big apps, and I can pay a small percentage of revenue royalties as a result. Win-win.

If anybody is interested or know someone good that would be, chime in

The skill set you desire costs 200 bucks an hour. You're looking at having to pay about 20K to have something built.

This. But OP if you need a couple hundred it’s probably worth it to have the perfect software that saves a lot of time and does exactly what you need.

This isn’t my theater but there’s websites to get bids to have this type of work done.

"It's very simple" and "All it needs to do" are nice code words for "you do all the work, I get a lot of the money."

"Small percentage of royalty" is BS too with the mention of several hundred IPads, he's looking to get a free app created for his business.
