I’ve seen people say they have a driving range. Is the course open?

On a side note...has the neighborhood gone to shite, resulting in the CC going downhill or closing?

I believe it’s called the legacy and has a driving range, a bar and tennis courts. That’s about it.

I loathed the first hole of that course. Fairway was very narrow.

False, it's only been shite since Katrina and you can probably guess why.

As for the golf course, its been closed for like 5 years now. It's called The Legacy now. It's primarily a tennis facility, the put the swimming pool back where it used to be before the chipping green, the driving range is a self serve ball machine, the mat is kinda old, it hurts my chest after a full bucket of balls because of the vibrations of the club hitting the hard mat, the grass area to hit off of isn't really grass, mostly weeds. I only go there if I don't feel like going to a regular course or don't have time.

I don't live in BR, but my understanding is that some of the nearby neighborhoods are seeing a resurgence in young families. Or, at least I read that about Broadmoor last year. Regardless, that CC was full of old members who didn't really want young members and it died a slow death as they aged/died off.

It is a really fun course if they could keep up. They have just never been able to get young members and it struggled. I also was told they wanted to get it going again, but it needs a completely new irrigation system.
