Anyone know the best places to play in or around Hot Springs?

My research says Grenada and Diamonte, which are in Hot Springs village.

Also looking for a good place in Texarkana. Texarkana Golf Ranch appears to be decent.

Hot Springs CC is great. They have 2 courses to play, Park and Arlington. I played Balboa and Ponce de Leon, in September, and they were both awesome.

Oh nice. Yeah that is helpful. From the look of the hot springs CC website, the course looks awfully bland. Maybe that is misleading.

It is not, trust me. Both courses are pretty demanding, especially if the rough is up.

diamonte is private but next to it is Isabella and its one of my favorite courses. We go up to Hot Springs almost every year

Grenada is the only one I’ve played but it was very enjoyable. I played out of probably 70% of the bunkers.

I play at Hot Springs Village once a week from March to November.

You really can’t go wrong with any course....they each have their own challenges. But I would stay away from Desoto. It is the oldest course there and not as fun as the others....Ponce de Leon, Magellan, Balboa, Granada, Cortez, and Isabella. Diamanté is private.

Thanks for all the info.

I think where we landed for the 3 day period is

Mystic Creek
Grenada
Diamante
Hot Springs Country Club

Mystic Creek is a challenge ... good luck and don’t try to carry too much of the water on #10!

As to the question about Texarkana, see if you can get on the Texarkana CC. I played it about 7 years ago and really liked the old school club and course. As the story goes, Byron Nelson used to practice there the week before The Masters and he called it Little Augusta since he thought the course demanded similar shots.

That's pretty cool about Byron Nelson. We might have to check that out. It's between that and HSCC (realize they are in places).

Both of the courses are great. We've probably played the Arlington course more than the Park. Texarkana CC is super nice if you get on. It's a little bit of a drive from HS though. Mystic Creek is my favorite of all of them.

Hot Springs CC Arlington (arlington>park), Village Isabella and Granada. All are fun courses with a moderate amount of elevation change. All are well maintained, as well. Hot Springs CC most expensive if I remember correctly.

Anyone played Diamanté? I hear that it was Club Corp for a time while probably distressed. But now it’s not? I’m a bit confused on its past.

My understanding is the property owners bought it a few years ago
