How does Ring compare to Simplisafe? We are looking at swapping our system from ADT to Ring or Simplisafe. We have a ring doorbell and love it. However Simplisafe does have a few more features that intrigue us like compatibility to Alexa and Nest. What are the thoughts on the comparison of the two systems?

I doubt you will ever seen Nest compatibility with Ring. Alexa is planned as is homekit for apple devices.

Ring is a pretty barebones system right now. That's kinda what they were shooting for though to make everything economical and shake up the industry. It's still like $5 cheaper than simplisafe a month. The hardware itself doesn't look that much different. I like the mounting features of the Ring base station better than the simiplisafe vase looking thing, but the keypad looks much nicer with simplisafe. Have no idea about the simplisafe app, but the Ring app is the same as the ring camera app you already have, just a new bar up top to arm your security system. Options menus work the same.
