Usually we dont have to worry about getting in to the ncaa tournament since we always host at least, and alot of times weve been nAtional seed as well..the sec channel has been saying were on the bubble as of lately...my question is , are they talking about LSU bieng in danger of not hosting a regional or in danger of not making the tournament all together. Also, how do the at large and conference champions get seeded.is there any guarantees to host if u win conference or anything like that?

Hanagriff said it best.
SEC games
Win 15 and above your in
Win 14 and you should get in (may need to win 1 or 2 in the SEC tournament)
Win 13 and below and you’re leaving it in the hands of the NCAA

They’re seeding the teams differently this year. Instead of top 8 National seeds they’ll seed 1-16 so they could end up with some SEC teams meeting in super regionals if they advance.
Usually small to mid majors who win their conferences make it as 3-4 seeds. At large’s can be anywhere from 1-3 it just depends on RPI.

So what would we have to do the rest of the year to host.. Just to get in isnt guaranteed now is it? We got 10 sec wins rite? How many conference games left? Too lazy to find it on pos phone...big game today, very important

10 games left including today and we are 10-10. 1 against Ole Miss, 3 against Auburn, Alabama, and Arkansas

Do the conference tourney champs and regular season champs both get in automatically, like in basketball? One more question , sorry lol.if they seed the teams 1-16 then how do you decide where the super regionals are

We could definitely miss the NCAA tournament. We're only .500 in the SEC, we've lost 8 non-conference games as well so our overall record is terrible, our RPI is at 50, and we've only won 3 road games all year. We basically have no metrics that look good. The 10-10 SEC record is probably our best metric. If that ends below .500, we're not in a good position. And it won't be easy to finish 5-5 with 7 of them being against teams with RPIs in the top 10 (with 4 of those on the road).
Lets say we lose today, lose 2 against Arkansas, win 2 against Alabama, lose 2 at Auburn, and win our remaining non-conference games; that puts us at 32-24 with a losing league record and an RPI squarely in the bubble range and only 4 road wins on the season. That won't look very pretty to the committee.
We need to win games.
ETA: With that being said, if we could win the final 12 and finish at 38-18 with a 20-10 SEC record we would be right back in the national seed discussion so everything is still on the line with 12 games to go in the regular season.

To host
Get to around 17 or 18 wins in the SEC
Get at least first or second in the West
Have an RPI in the top 20 minimum

Yes if you win your conference tournament you are in, some don’t have it so it’s just the regular season winner.
Super regional sites are seeds 1-8
Regional sites are 1-16
