I’m trying to lrun sound from an iPhone/iPad to 4 large powered speakers for a SPD float.

I’m able to daisy chain the speakers together fine but the sound quality is terrible when the cord is fully plugged into the iPad. It is ok if it is partially plugged in and held in place by hand.

Has anyone else had this problem or do you know a solution?

Surely this would work better with an interface between the iPad and speakers, right?

Yeah, but I’m thinking just any stereo with AV out. Can plug speakers into it, and use the AV out to headphone jack to plug into your device.

I’m not really sure what could be causing your issue. But adding that piece of hardware should solve it IMO. I know your speakers are powered, but it seems like you are daisy chaining them down to one channel in order to plug into your device. The stereo would allow them to be on different channels.

It may not be the best option, but I think it would solve your problem. If you need to supply power to your speakers, I assume you will have an onboard gennie to power the stereo as well
