Does anyone know when the Cookin' for a Cause jambalaya cookoff will be held at Tiger Tavern Daiquiris in Prairieville/Gonzales? It used to be in June, but I think they moved it to April in recent years.

Be on the lookout for Clash of the Cooks. Last year was our first year and we kicked arse. This year it's going to be May 19th.

Little about the event:
-Held on LSU's campus
-Snowballs for the kids
-Live band
-Silent Auction
-Jambalaya cook-off with "celebrity judge" picks, fan favorite, and the family we choose for all the money to go to gets to choose the best team name.
-Lots of beer...lots. Domestic and craft

Last year we raised about $22k. Most went to the chosen family but also gave some to other charities (MD Anderson, a lymphoma charity, and another local recipient.

Went to the website, looks like a nice event. How many cooking teams were there last year?
