What do you guys think? We are getting new cookware and we cook a lot. I’m leaning towards the stainless, but haven’t used it. I’m seeing you need to treat it similarly to cast iron and that’s fine. What do you guys recommend?

Get the Kirkland. When/If it craps out throw it away and buy a new set. I got a set of stainless from Sam's 10 years ago that's still going strong. Also, you don't have to treat stainless like cast iron, it can go in the dishwasher.

How do you like cooking with stainless? Any tips for cooking and cleaning? Looks like the biggest thing is to let the pans get to temp before adding oil or meat. Also not to add salt to water unless it’s boiling already.

Had to make the switch. We were in the market and I thought stainless would be the way to go. We ended up getting the Lagostina instead of Kirkland. The set wound up being a little cheaper and the handles were more comfortable.

Maybe the meat but the oil can go in whenever.

Where did you hear this?? That's not true.

Use steel wool for the tough applications.

It's ok for pots but I prefer my Debuyer iron skillets or the cheap teflon ones I recently picked up from Costco.

Stainless is some durable shite. I wouldn't worry about babying it.

Most websites are saying it causes pitting and the salt needs to be added only when the water is boiling?
