Agree that we don't 'need' a qb. Roster is pretty solid at that pos. We need at least the mins you mention for RB, OL and WR. I would add an impactful TE too. Key is any RB recruit needs to be ready to contribute NEXT year. Should be an attracting landing spot for any 2018 recruit.

Whether we like it or not, the performance of our OFF this Fall is going to set the pace for the OFF recruits. IF we do well and even have above average success, things should fall into place. IF we struggle....not good for recruiting/transfers, at all.

After last night, OFF has much room to grow IMO. Need to keep working this summer. DE needs to keep working with the WR's with their own throwing program. Liked some of the things I saw with the OFF, but the execution overall was not where it needs to be. Sure it is Spring, but I don't think anyone can deny the OFF should have looked better. Not the end of the work, keep working Tigers!

The Defensive Back position in this year's class is just gonna be so sick...
As of 247...
#1 CB Patrick Surtain
#2 CB Anthony Cook
#5 CB Kelvin Joseph
#7 CB Tyson Cambell
#1 S B.J. Foster
#4 S Caden Sterns
All very high on or already comiited to LSU.
All guys in the top 60 to 70 in the composite top 100...
If you get 5 of these 6 guys, even four...your class is the best DB unit for 2018 by far. They've already got 2. So the thought this class with all the other skill guys and D Line prospects that will fill the rest of the slots...its in the top 3, possibly the top overall class of 2018, and then the 2019 season with the freshmen class now in their junior year, some playing for draft status, this year's 2018 group are sophomores, both classes just loaded with talent...youre competing for a national championship. You can see where Orgeron is going with his philosophy in recruiting. Say what you will about his game presence. But he can surely build a team. Really looking very good nationally as a brand right now with kids. The want to play at LSU from a nationwide standpoint is at very high level amongst the elite level guys even more than usual imo. Really hope it all translates to a return to the elite level of CFB.
